Robert M. Peele, MD

Dr. Robert M. Peele Jr. joined Midlands Orthopaedics on July 1, 1982. His undergraduate degree is from Davidson College in North Carolina and his medical degree is from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, also in North Carolina. He did his internship in general surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk and his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston .His fellowship was in sports medicine at Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic in Columbus, Ga.  Dr. Peele is a 

member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, S.C. Orthopaedic Association, S.C. Medical Association, American Medical Association, Columbia Medical Society, Arthroscopy Association of North American and the Hughston Society. Dr. Peele has been the team orthopaedist for the Lexington and Irmo high school football teams since 1982 and was director of orthopaedics and sports medicine for the University of South Carolina’s athletic department from 1983 to 2002.
