Thank you for choosing Midlands Orthopaedics, P.A. We are committed to the success of your medical treatment and care. Prompt payment of charges incurred helps us keep our fees down, so we hope that you will take a moment to familiarize yourself with our financial policies.

For your convenience, we have answered the most frequently asked questions regarding our financial policy below.

How may I pay?
We accept payment by cash, check, and debit/credit cards from Visa and Mastercard.

Do I need a referral?
If you have a HMO or POS plan with which we are contracted, you will need a referral authorization from your primary care physician. If we have not received an authorization prior to your arrival at the office, we have a telephone available for you to call your primary care physician to obtain it. If you are unable to obtain the referral at that time, we will reschedule your appointment.

What happens if I bring my child in but my ex-spouse is responsible for all medical bills?
A parent or legal guardian must accompany patients who are minors. The accompanying adult is responsible for payment of the account unless a divorce decree is provided verifying a different responsible party.

Offer a 30% discount on services that are paid in full at the time of check-out or will help you set up a monthly payment plan.

Workers’ Compensation (for an on-the-job injury)

Providing verification of Workers’ Compensation coverage (i.e., First Report of Injury) along with necessary claims information upon request. Verification must be obtained prior to any visit.

File your claim to the workers’ comp carrier and provide you and your adjuster with work-status updates at the time of each visit.
