Effective January 1, 2016, the Midlands Orthopaedics division of Arcis Healthcare is excited to welcome the physicians and patients of Columbia Neurosurgical Associates to our practice. With the addition of these 6 physicians and nearly a century of combined service to South Carolina, the pioneering past and the progressive future meet here.
In 2014, Midlands Orthopaedics merged with Lowcountry Orthopaedics in Charleston to form Arcis Healthcare, LLC -- a private medical practice focused on the delivery of high quality, cost-effective musculoskeletal care across South Carolina. Incorporating the physician services of Columbia's most renowned neurosurgical practice into Midlands Orthopaedics allows us to pool our resources to invest in better technology and support systems to enhance your care without increasing your cost. Because we are not employed by a hospital, our costs are lower and we always support your right to choose the providers who best meet your needs.

As a division of Arcis Healthcare, Midlands Orthopaedics serves thousands of patients each year at our four locations in downtown Columbia, Irmo, West Columbia & Northeast Columbia.
The physicians of Midlands Orthopaedics are pleased to offer the most advanced outpatient surgical options in the region at Midlands Orthopaedics Surgery Center. As the first Ambulatory Surgery Center in South Carolina to offer total joint replacement as a same-day procedure, we have now performed more than 500 total hip, hip resurfacing and total knee procedures with an infection rate less than one-quarter of one percent. Midlands Orthopaedics Surgery Center is a national leader in outpatient joint replacement and advanced spine procedures with 4% of patients in 2015 traveling from other states in pursuit of excellent outcomes at a reasonable cost.
The surgeons of Midlands Orthopaedics are proud to be active members of the medical staffs at Palmetto Health Baptist, Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge and Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals.
